The Opportunity
Attest is moving fast toward becoming an AI-native company. To get there, we’re hiring a Workflow Optimisation Lead to redesign how work happens across the business. This role is focused on understanding how teams operate today, identifying inefficiencies, and rebuilding workflows using automation and AI to create leverage at scale. This is a newly created role, you’ll be building the foundations: the workflows, playbooks, systems, and behaviours that enable teams to operate more efficiently. You’ll work across Attest, partnering to define the tools, standards, and ways of working that underpin an AI-enabled business. If you enjoy diagnosing how things really work, and turning complexity into scalable systems, this is a high-impact opportunity to shape how Attest operates.
The Logistics
The salary range for this role is £100,000 to £115,000.
We embrace a flexible hybrid work model. While we don't mandate specific office days, we ask full-time Attesters to work on-site 2 or 3 days per week. This approach allows us to collaborate in person, while ensuring enough time remotely for deep, focussed work.
What you’ll do
- Partner with teams across the business to map end-to-end workflows, understanding how work actually gets done and redesign workflows to improve speed, quality, and scalability.
- Identify friction points, manual loops, inefficiencies, and duplicated effort to drive efficiency going forward by building optimised workflows, improving speed, quality and scalability.
- Initially you will implement practical solutions using process improvements, automation and existing tools, using AI where relevant, whilst bringing the team with you. In time you will coach and support the team to build solutions themselves.
- Identify opportunities where tooling, automation or AI can reduce manual work and improve output, working with Information Security to ensure workflows align with data security and compliance expectations.
- Move teams from ad hoc ways of working to structured, repeatable processes, building and implementing tools, workflows, and lightweight AI solutions that teams can use immediately.
- Translate standardise approaches to reduce one-off work and increase reuse across teams, ensuring improvements are embedded into day-to-day operations, not layered on top, translating ideas into practical artefacts (templates, automations, playbooks, dashboards).
- Help teams build confidence in using automation and AI through practical application, building rituals, comms, and training that make new ways of working clear and easy to adopt.
- Contribute to a culture where efficiency and continuous improvement are part of how we operate. This role will truly embody our value of embracing the future.
- Advise leaders on where operational improvements will have the greatest impact and prioritise opportunities based on impact and feasibility, turning ideas into clear delivery plans.
What you’ll bring
- Experience mapping workflows and redesigning how work gets done with the ability to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or simplification.
- Track record of building or improving systems using tools, systems, and lightweight technical solutions that reduce manual effort and increase output.
- Experience of implementing automation, tooling, or AI into operational workflows delivering clear ROI.
- Experience of building clear, structured documentation that enables alignment and scale.
- Strong communication skills, able to explain recommendations clearly and bring people with you so that teams change how they operate.
- You’re motivated by improving how systems work and have a strong bias for action, with a focus on optimising processes.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and iterating quickly, with a curious, pragmatic, approach focused on impact.
- As the Workforce Optimisation Lead you will work with a wide range of tools. Our current tech stack includes Airia, Claude, n8n, Glean, Google Workspace Studio, HiBob, Langflow, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Notion, Retool, Salesforce, Xero and Zapier. Although we are not anticipating that candidates will have had exposure to all tools, we are looking for candidates who are confident learning new technologies and have previously had hands on experience or no code or low code tools.
Our benefits
- Work from anywhere up to 20 days a year
- 25 days holiday per year plus additional festive days
- Private Medical Insurance
- 1 day per quarter to do charity or community work
- Family friendly benefits, including enhanced parental leave (18 weeks paid leave for Primary carer), up to 12 weeks paid leave for premature births and neonatal care and paid leave for IVF and fertility treatment and pregnancy loss
