Detailed Description From Employer:

We're looking for a Workday Training Specialist to join SNG (Sovereign Network Group) on a fixed term contract basis for 9-12 months . Workday represents a significant investment and a genuinely transformative change for our organisation, replacing many legacy systems, processes and ways of working, ensuring that SNG is fit for the future and better able to serve our customers. Based from our Basingstoke office, you'll combine home and office working in line with our hybrid approach. There may be some travel to other sites to ensure visibility across wider teams and collaborate across the business.

The Role

In this hands-on role, you'll utilise your expertise in Workday training and implementation to support the design, development, and delivery of training programs for Workday users across SNG, specifically for HR and Finance within Human Capital Management (HCM) and Foundational Data Model (FDM). This role will support the successful adoption and ongoing use of Workday modules, ensuring employees and managers are confident and competent in using the system effectively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with Learning and Development colleagues, subject matter experts and key stakeholders to identify training needs and learning outcomes to enable the effective implementation of Workday at SNG
  • Utilising knowledge of the Workday training catalogue to effectively align Workday training content with SNG user training needs
  • Developing and delivering engaging training sessions (virtual and in-person) for Workday modules, specifically HCM and FDM
  • Creating user-friendly training materials including guides, videos, e-learning modules, and FAQs, using appropriate SNG templates and frameworks
  • Maintaining Workday training documents and resources to reflect the latest Workday system enhancements and changes
  • Designing evaluation methods and metrics to enable effectiveness of Workday training to be assessed against learning outcomes

What we're looking for:

You will need previous experience in a similar role, designing and delivering tailored training for Workday users, ideally from within a similar sized organisation following implementation of Workday in both HCM and FDM. You'll also need:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to adapt training content for a range of different audiences and needs
  • In depth knowledge of both Workday functionality and configurations across both HR (HCM plus all HR related Workday SKUs) and Finance
  • Demonstrable experience in training HCM and Finance modules to users and supporting the system implementation across HR and Finance
  • Strong presentation, listening and facilitation skills
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Understanding of learning management systems, instructional design and adult learning methodologies
  • Knowledge of digital learning tools, including LMS platforms, MS Teams, Articulate or similar
  • Ability to translate complex system processes into clear, accessible training content
