Summary: The Workday Test Manager role involves leading the full testing lifecycle for a major Workday transformation programme within a Global Consulting Firm. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full testing lifecycle across Workday for a major transformation programme.
- Manage unit, functional/configuration, integration, and UAT testing phases.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
- Plan, execute, and report on full test cycles, including defect management and risk escalation.
- Lead UAT with business users and manage multiple stakeholder groups effectively.
- Ensure adherence to test governance, methodologies, and tools for quality assurance.

Robert Half is supporting their client, a Global Consulting Firm, in recruiting a Workday Test Manager to partner with them and their end client on a major Workday transformation programme. This is an initial 6-month contract to lead the full testing lifecycle across Workday, with potential extensions.
Contract Assignment Details:
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract Length: 6 months – potential extension
- Location: Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite in the City of London
- Rate: Approximately £450 PAYE per day plus 12.07% daily accrued holiday pay. (Employer’s NI and tax deducted at source – unlike umbrella companies, which deduct at source and charge admin fees)
The Workday Test Manager must have:
- Extensive experience as a Workday Test Manager in large-scale Financial Services organisations (insurance background highly desirable).
- Proven expertise managing unit, functional/configuration, integration, and UAT testing phases across Workday HCM and/or Finance.
- Strong knowledge of Workday functionality, integrations, and configuration impacts, acting as the SME for Workday testing.
- Experience in planning, executing, and reporting across full test cycles, including defect management and risk escalation.
- Ability to collaborate with functional consultants, technical teams, and business stakeholders at senior level.
- Track record of leading UAT with business users and managing multiple stakeholder groups effectively.
- Solid understanding of test governance, methodologies, and tools to drive quality assurance.
