We’re supporting a client in the final phases of a Workday implementation covering HR and Financials. The programme kicked off in January, with testing due to begin in August and go-live planned for November. They’re now looking for a Test Manager to join the team and take the reins on all test activity across the programme.
The Role: You’ll be responsible for leading a team of three dedicated testers, as well as coordinating with a broader group of SMEs from across the business. These SMEs bring strong knowledge of their functional areas but will need guidance and structure around testing processes, so someone who can coach and bring best practice will be critical. You’ll be picking up from an internal team member who has been covering test management duties since the start of the year – they’ll be on hand to ensure a smooth handover.
Responsibilities:
- Primarily manual testing (around 90%) – some automation may be used but this is not the core focus
- Delivering the testing for the Workday modules: HR and Financials
- Defining and driving test strategy, planning, and execution
- Ensuring traceability, quality assurance, and readiness for go-live
