Summary: The Workday Technical Architect role involves managing solution ideation, design, and implementation within the HR domain, specifically focusing on Workday solutions. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders and existing architects to ensure alignment with IT standards while championing structured business application solutions. The architect will also oversee system upgrades, integrations, and the development of a solutions architecture program. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages activities during solution ideation, design, and implementation.
  • Reviews business context for solutions and designs to meet company challenges.
  • Communicates architecture to stakeholders and collaborates with domain architects.
  • Champions a structured approach to business application solutions.
  • Assists in developing a solutions architecture program, including roadmaps and project portfolios.
  • Ensures solutions align with technology standards and guidelines.
  • Influences changes to standards when necessary.
  • Supports architectural aspects of all application projects in the IT portfolio.
  • Identifies and recommends appropriate solutions, upgrades, or decommissioning options.
  • Analyzes security protection technologies as necessary.
  • Owns and manages system upgrades and integrations.
  • Participates in release planning activities and system demos.

Key Skills:

  • TA experience in the HR domain with a strong Workday background.
  • Proven track record for architecting Workday solutions.
  • Ability to independently control and run solution design within the Platform Organisation.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in previous engagements.
  • Understanding of Architecture Review Board and Technical Design Assurance processes.
  • Experience with Workday modules such as Core HCM, Talent & Performance, Advanced Compensation, and Learning.
  • Experience in developing Workday reporting and analytics.
  • Experience in designing integrations to/from Workday with third-party systems.
  • Architecture and technology knowledge in the Aviation domain (nice to have).
