Summary: Our consultancy client is seeking an experienced Workday Product Manager to lead a significant Workday Financials implementation for a client in the insurance/reinsurance sector. The role involves acting as the functional product manager, providing SME guidance, and ensuring alignment across finance vision and processes. The candidate will need to assess the ongoing financial rollout and drive the mapping and optimization of finance processes to align with Workday configuration. A strong background in finance transformations and insurance or reinsurance finance operations is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Workday product lead and functional product manager for the implementation.
- Provide SME guidance to technical implementation teams and ensure alignment with finance vision, policies, and processes.
- Assess the in-flight Financial rollout, identifying critical path and schedule risks.
- Drive the mapping and optimization of finance processes to align with Workday configuration and reporting.
- Elicit and validate end-to-end finance requirements and map them to Workday configuration.
- Lead integration design workshops with other core business areas.
- Align deliverables with reinsurance regulatory obligations and internal controls.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in finance transformations.
- At least 1 full Workday Financials implementation experience.
- Proven hands-on design of Workday integrations and finance functional requirements.
- Strong background in insurance or reinsurance finance operations.
- Ability to work on-site in London 2-3 days a week.

You will work as the Workday product lead acting as the functional product manager shaping the end to end Workday financials design and roadmap. Providing SME guidance to the technical implementation teams of Workday and ensure alignment across finance vision, policies and processes. You will need to quickly asses the in flight Financial rollout, spotlighting critical path and schedule risks and drive the mapping and optimisation of finance processes and align them to Workday configuration and reporting. You will elicit and validate end to end finance requirements and map them to Workday configuration and lead integration design workshops with other core business areas. You will align deliverables with reinsurance regulatory obligations and internal controls.
You must have worked extensively in finance transformations including at least 1 full Workday Financials implementation with a proven hands on design of Workday integrations and finance functional requirements with a strong background in insurance or reinsurance finance operations.
You will need to work on the client site in London 2-3 days a week and the role will be inside IR35.
