Summary: The Workday Financials Solution Architect will lead the implementation of Workday Financials, ensuring that the solution aligns with business objectives and finance processes. This role involves defining the end-to-end solution architecture and acting as a liaison between stakeholders and implementation partners. The position requires expertise in financial processes and system capabilities without the need for an up-to-date certification. The contract is for an initial duration of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the end-to-end solution architecture for Workday Financials across GL, AP, AR, and Financial Reporting
- Translate business requirements into scalable, efficient system designs aligned with best practices
- Provide architectural design leadership across configuration, integrations, data, and reporting
- Design and govern financial processes, including chart of accounts, workflows, and reporting frameworks
- Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and third-party implementation partners, ensuring alignment and delivery quality
- Lead solution design reviews, ensuring consistency, performance, and compliance with enterprise architecture standards
- Support testing strategy (SIT/UAT), ensuring traceability to requirements and resolution of defects
- Identify risks, dependencies, and optimisation opportunities across the programme lifecycle
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Lead Functional Architect on Workday Financials implementations
- Deep functional expertise across General Ledger, AP, AR, and Financial Reporting
- Strong experience designing end-to-end finance solutions within Workday
- Experience of Prism Accounting Centre and its architectural integration into finance processes
- Demonstrated experience with financial data migration strategies, governance, and reconciliation
- Engage both technical and non-technical audiences
