Summary: The role of Workday Finance SME (Insurance) involves providing expert guidance on the Workday implementation programme for an insurance company. The position requires a deep understanding of finance operations within the insurance sector and a proven track record in finance transformations. The candidate will be responsible for aligning finance processes with Workday configuration and ensuring compliance with finance policies and regulations. This is a contract position based in London with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a senior finance SME to provide hands-on guidance to the Workday implementation programme, ensuring alignment with finance policies, processes, and regulations.
- Review and contribute to the re-design of finance processes, procedures, and controls.
- Map and optimise finance processes and align them to Workday configuration and reporting.
- Validate that finance functional, operational, and governance requirements are correctly reflected in the programme and address identified gaps.
- Lead operational integration design workshops with finance functions and other business areas.
- Deep knowledge of insurance or reinsurance finance operations.
- Proven track record of delivering finance transformations in the insurance sector, preferably involving Workday solutions.
- Hands-on experience of designing and implementing finance processes and controls and advising technical teams on functional and regulatory obligations.
- Demonstrable track record operating as a senior finance SME within insurance or reinsurance, influencing policy, regulatory reporting, and finance process decisions.
