Summary: The Finance SME role is responsible for the development and management of ERP systems, particularly Workday and its integrations. This position involves leading the system development life cycle, providing technical leadership, and ensuring effective application development activities. The role requires strong expertise in Workday Financials and the ability to build client relationships while delivering high-quality solutions. The Finance SME will also support and enhance Workday Financials post-production and collaborate with team members on various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of core Workday competencies and deep expertise in Workday Financials functional areas.
- Experience implementing/supporting Workday modules related to Accounting, Banking & Settlements, Budgets, Expenses, Projects, and Cash Management.
- Provide post-production support and enhancement services in multiple areas of Workday Financials.
- Participate in advisory, planning, and implementation of additional Workday Financial modules.
- Manage client relationships and resolve client support requests.
- Lead sessions with clients and team members to analyze and scope complex business requirements.
- Collaborate with the Delivery team on day-to-day activities and incidents.
- Provide guidance to team members to research and resolve complex client requests.
- Communicate effectively with clients by providing subject matter expertise on Workday best practices.
- Actively foster internal relationships, share knowledge, and mentor other consultants.

Job Description
Role description: The Finance SME role will have overall responsibility for the development of our ERP systems – Finance and Commercial, including Workday and it’s integrations. They will lead and participate in the system development life cycle, including technical design, development, testing, and deployment of Workday functionality and other ERP systems. The role will provide technical leadership and direction for all application development activities, including release analysis and impact assessment, new module development, smaller enhancements, maintenance, and improvements of existing configuration
Key responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of core Workday competencies (business process, reporting, security) and deep expertise in one (or multiple!) Workday Financials functional areas
- Experience implementing/supporting Workday modules related to Accounting, Banking & Settlements, Budgets, Expenses, Projects and Cash Management preferred
- Recent Workday experience implementing/Supporting Workday Financials
- Strong experience within Workday Financials deployments and operational support projects
- Ability to build and develop strong client relationships

Key skills/knowledge/experience:
- Provide post-production support and enhancement services in multiple areas of Workday Financials and serve as the subject matter expert to assist fellow team members and clients
- Participate in advisory, planning and implementation of additional Workday Financial modules by documenting requirements, mapping processes, and implementing best-practice configuration
- Manage client relationships and resolves client support requests varying from operational support issue resolution, phase x implementations and enhancement projects, release planning, to strategic road mapping services
- Lead sessions with clients and team members to analyse and scope complex business requirements
- Should collaboratively work with Delivery team on day to day activities, incidents, root cause analysis and other work requests
- Prioritize and delegate requests and tasks by level of urgency, scope, complexity, and team availability
- Provide guidance to and collaborate with team members to research and resolve complex client requests
- Provide Workday best practices and ensure high quality deliverables
- Communicate effectively with clients by providing subject matter expertise on Workday best practices and recommendations
- Prioritize clients interest and proactively listen to ensure that work exceeds their expectations
- Actively foster internal relationships, share knowledge, and mentor other consultants, and contribute as a leader to grow our practice
