Summary: The role of Solution Architect focuses on enhancing finance capabilities through the Workday platform within a high-end consultancy firm. The position requires a strong background in data analytics and involves driving transformation in the finance domain while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of functionalities within Workday and oversee technical architecture implementations. This is a contract position with an immediate start, requiring on-site presence three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the development and delivery of various functionalities within the Workday platform.
  • Documenting technical architecture designs to support finance capabilities.
  • Overseeing implementation and modifications of technical architecture.
  • Collaborating closely with engineers to maintain high development standards.
  • Promoting re-use of common components and assets.
  • Facilitating leadership and mentorship of technical development teams.
  • Monitoring the overall progress of Workday technology implementation.
  • Ensuring solutions align with business needs through collaboration.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience in designing and configuring Workday across Integration, Prism, Accounting Centre, Financial Management, and Reporting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Workday security approaches and techniques.
  • Experience in at least one end-to-end implementation of the Workday platform.
  • Familiarity with building within Azure cloud services.
  • Experience in Continuous integration and automated deployments in Azure DevOps.
  • Full life cycle development experience.
  • Knowledge of design patterns and practical application.
  • Ability to document solution designs effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Workday specific accreditation (eg, Workday Pro).
