Summary: The Workday Data Conversion Lead (Functional) is responsible for overseeing data transformation and migration activities during Workday implementations. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity across various modules, including HCM, Payroll, and Benefits. The ideal candidate will lead data conversion initiatives, conduct workshops, and manage testing plans while ensuring compliance with data privacy standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the functional components of Workday data conversion initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business users and technical teams to define data mapping, validation rules, and transformation logic.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between functional subject matter experts (SMEs) and technical conversion teams.
  • Conduct data workshops to gather business requirements and define the overall data strategy.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across various source systems.
  • Utilize Workday tools such as EIBs, Workbooks, and Data Load utilities for data conversions.
  • Develop and execute testing plans for data validation and reconciliation.
  • Support cutover planning and address data-related issues during and after go-live.
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy, compliance, and security standards.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders and leadership teams.

Key Skills:

  • Prior experience with Workday implementation projects is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of Workday HCM and associated modules (Payroll, Benefits, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Workday data conversion tools: EIBs, Workbooks, Data Load tools.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale data transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and conduct stakeholder workshops.
