Summary: The role of a Workday Integration Consultant involves executing end-to-end implementations and providing support for Workday Extend applications. The consultant will leverage their technical expertise in Workday integrations and related technologies to gather business requirements, configure integrations, and ensure effective communication with clients. A strong problem-solving attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this position. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of Workday functional areas and integration technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements and create/configure various Workday integrations.
  • Work independently or with Team Lead and/or Project Manager to participate in the configuration solutions and integration testing.
  • Analyze business requirements and produce detailed solution specifications consulting with Client Process Owners about standard methodologies for HR processes in Workday.
  • Track issues and risks, communicate status, and escalate concerns.
  • Ability to work with a geographically dispersed team, providing support and guidance as necessary.

Key Skills:

  • Workday Integration expertise in EIB, Studio, CCW, CCB, Payroll Integrations, Extend, and API usage.
  • Knowledge of web service-related topics (REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP, SSL, PGP, SAML, OAuth, etc.).
  • Experience with XML/XSLT and Java.
  • Experience in creating detailed system integration specifications, field mapping, and system process designs.
  • Experience with technologies involved in SOA development (XML, XPath, XSLT, Web Services, etc.).
  • General knowledge of at least 2-3 Workday functional areas (Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent & Performance Management, Absence Management, Time Tracking, Benefits, Payroll).
  • Experience in Workday Reporting, Report Builder, Custom Reports, XSLT Custom Reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, BIRT).
  • Experience with Workday Application and Reports.
  • Strong problem-solving attitude and learner attitude with minimum supervision.
  • Good written and oral communication skills and strong team player.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage customer expectations.
  • Certification in Workday Integrations is a plus.
