Summary: The Wireless Technology Standard and Industry Development Engineer at Huawei Research and Development UK Limited will focus on contributing to global wireless standards and innovations within the Consumer Business Group. Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in meetings of international organizations related to wireless technology on behalf of Huawei CBG.
- Contribute to the innovation and evolution of new generation standards based on business requirements and research results.
- Provide timely insights on wireless technologies, standards, and industry trends.
- Output insight reports and feedback to local departments and HQ, defining strategies and work plans.
- Collaborate closely with CBG European and HQ departments for business alignment and reporting.
- Promote innovative applications and oversee their implementation based on Huawei wireless technologies.
- Participate in international standards or industry organization conferences to contribute and gather data on trends.
Key Skills:
- Master’s or PhD degree in wireless communications, computer science, or Internet of Things.
- Able to deliver insight reports based on policies, regulations, technologies, and market trends.
- Deep understanding of technology standards such as RFID/NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB, and NearLink.
- Good research experience with proven publications.
- Strong internal and external communication skills and collaboration abilities.
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin), both oral and written.
- Open to global travel as required.

Job Summary We are seeking a wireless technology engineer who will be expected to work for Consumer Business Group (CBG) Standards & Industry Development in Europe. The work will cover major global wireless organisations, and also involve actively making technical contributions, with a focus on short-range communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in meetings of international organizations, covering wireless, such as ISO/IEC JTC1 SC17, ECMA TC51, NFC Forum, Bluetooth-SIG, SparkLink Alliance, and GIIC Alliance on behalf of Huawei CBG.
- Contribute to innovation and evolution of CBG’s new generation standards based on actual business requirements, standardization strategies, and independent research results.
- Provide insights on wireless technologies, standards and industry trends in a timely manner.
- Output insight reports and feedback to CBG local department and HQ, while being responsible for defining strategies, work plans, and implementations.
- Collaborate closely with CBG European and HQ departments for timely business alignment, as well as for internal reporting and external presentations.
- Promote innovative applications, pilots, and oversee their implementation, based on Huawei wireless technologies, and novel protocol standards, for business success in Europe.
- Participate in international standards or industry organization conferences in order to make contributions and also obtain data on the latest industry/technology/standard trends.
