Summary: The Wireless Network Engineer role involves working with an investment banking client on a long-term project, focusing on the design and implementation of wireless and wired network solutions. The position requires extensive experience with Cisco technologies and RF planning, along with the ability to produce high-level and low-level design documentation. The role is hybrid, requiring three days a week on-site presence in the Manchester, Liverpool, Stoke, or Birmingham areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy solutions for large-scale data center and office infrastructure using Cisco Wireless, DC, FortiGate, and other technologies.
- Conduct RF planning and deployments.
- Perform troubleshooting for both wireless and wired networks.
- Produce high-level and low-level design documentation.
- Maintain an organized and detail-oriented approach with a focus on end-user experience.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Cisco Wireless/Switching/Routing & Security (CCNP Enterprise & CCNP Wireless certified).
- Experience in design and deployment of large-scale network solutions.
- Understanding of RF planning and deployments.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting wireless and wired networks.
- Ability to create high-level and low-level design documentation.
- Familiarity with technologies such as BGP, IBGP, EGBP, SDA, AD, Guest, VXLAN, LISP, DHCP, DNS, SGT, Dot1x, MAB.

Our investment banking client is looking for a Wireless Network Engineer to join the team on a 12 month initial contract (long term project, will be extended.)
Key skill sets:
- 5 years or more experience in Cisco Wireless/Switching/Routing & Security (CCNP Enterprise & CCNP Wireless Certified technical design or implementation specialist).
- This experience will be in Design, deployment supporting solutions for large scale data centre & Large Office infrastructure using vendors, technologies including mainly Cisco Wireless, DC (NXOS, IOSXE), FortiGate, Cisco ISE(AAA), Catalyst Centre(SDA).
- Understanding RF planning/deployments.
- Wireless and Wired troubleshooting.
- Organised, details-driven and end user experience mindset.
- Be able to produce high level and low-level design documentation.
Technologies:
- BGP, IBGP, EGBP, SDA, AD, Guest, VXLAN, LISP, DHCP, DNS, SGT, Dot1x, MAB.
