Summary: The Wintel and VMware Engineer role requires an experienced professional with SC clearance to support the migration and upgrade of Windows servers. The position is primarily remote but requires occasional onsite presence in Barnwood or Warrington. The contract is for six months with a focus on critical infrastructure tasks in collaboration with a leading energy provider in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expertise in Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and patch management.
• Building VMware infrastructure from scratch, including vCenter installation and configuration.
• Practical troubleshooting of issues on Windows OS and various services running on Windows Servers.
• Administration and design of directory services platforms, including configuration and policy management.
• Performing root cause analysis, upgrades, and configuring monitoring tools for system design.
• Installing and configuring ESXi Servers.

Key Skills:

• SC Clearance (Mandatory)
• Hands-on experience with migration projects - Windows 2012 to Windows 16/19 (Is a bonus)
• Strong knowledge of VMware technologies - Hyper-V, VMware Clusters and DRS/HA and working on vSphere 7+
• Configuration and management of monitoring tools for Windows and VMware environments.
