Wing Build Support Engineer

Summary: The Wing Build Support Engineer will be an integral part of the Broughton Wing Plant Engineering Team, providing essential engineering support to the Single Aisle and Widebody Component Delivery Teams. This role focuses on ensuring effective collaboration between engineering and manufacturing, optimizing design and industrial systems, and enhancing team efficiency. The successful candidate will engage in proactive product improvement and support initiatives aimed at reducing costs and non-conformances. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach are vital for success in this fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the link between Engineering and Manufacturing, ensuring co-design solutions suitable for the industrial system.
• Support design definition and communicate industrial requirements to the engineering community.
• Provide 'lineside' build support and act as the focal point for Engineering topics within the Wing Plant CDTs.
• Conduct root cause analysis investigations into abnormalities arising from design queries.
• Proactively improve products to reduce Recurring Costs, Non-Recurring Costs, and Non-Conformances.
• Support initiatives to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness through various improvements.
• Maintain and enhance working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Exemplify Airbus Values and demonstrate a willingness to learn and solve problems.
• Deliver tasks while adhering to time, cost, and quality parameters.
• Communicate effectively to deliver customer value and quality.

Key Skills:

• Knowledge and experience of metallic structures; composite knowledge desirable.
