Role Description
SISU Health is looking for a practical and technically capable Windows Systems Integration Engineer to support an initial three month fixed-term project.
The immediate priority will be the creation, validation, and deployment support of a Windows 10-based image for supported embedded PC platforms, alongside associated configuration, testing, documentation, and systems integration activities.
There is potential for the role to go on to support additional technical investigations and recommendations relating to future operating system migration, software supportability, hardware compatibility, and peripheral integration.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the creation and validation of a standardised Windows 10-based image for supported embedded PC platforms.
- Test image functionality, system configuration, and device behaviour across defined hardware configurations.
- Record testing outcomes, technical issues, configuration decisions, and resolutions using an agreed issue-tracking or kanban process.
- Assist with validation of internal security, quality, and compliance requirements with relevant stakeholders.
- Support the creation of repeatable, documented deployment, recovery, and configuration management processes.
- Assist with related projects involving device management, system integration, automation, legacy software review, software configuration, and technical documentation.
- Contribute to follow-on work packages relating to operating system migration, hardware compatibility, peripheral integration, and long-term maintainability.
Qualifications:
- Qualified in, or experienced in, Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Practical understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems, ideally including Windows 10 deployment, configuration, or device imaging.
- Comfortable troubleshooting technical issues in a structured, methodical way.
- Able to document processes, test outcomes, and technical decisions clearly and accurately.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, endpoint management, imaging tools, scripting, or device deployment would be beneficial.
- Exposure to software configuration, API-based systems, legacy application environments, or application support would be useful but is not mandatory.
- You are hands-on, organised, and comfortable working through technical problems methodically.
- Potentially in the early stages of your career, you are able to learn quickly, ask the right questions, document your work clearly, and escalate issues appropriately.
