Summary: The Windows Endpoint Engineer role is a contract position focused on automation and endpoint management through PowerShell scripting and .NET development. The engineer will be responsible for Windows OS image engineering, lifecycle management, and deployment processes. The position requires extensive experience in enterprise endpoint engineering and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement with three days on-site in London and two days remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- PowerShell scripting and .NET development for automation and endpoint management.
- Windows OS image engineering using ADK and DISM, including patching and component management.
- WIM/image lifecycle management and version control across multiple Windows editions.
- Windows PE customization and MECM task sequence design for deployment.
- Troubleshooting, driver/firmware management, and user experience configuration.
Key Skills:
- Extensive 3rd/4th line experience in enterprise endpoint engineering.
- Deep expertise in MECM with knowledge of Intune and MDT.
- Strong experience in designing and maintaining enterprise Windows builds.
- Familiarity with modern provisioning and endpoint security hardening.
- Proven troubleshooting and collaboration skills.

Windows Endpoint Engineer - Role & Responsibilities
- PowerShell scripting and .NET development (VB.NET, C#) for automation, endpoint management, and reusable tools
- Windows OS image engineering using ADK and DISM, including patching, drivers, component management, and WIM creation
- WIM/image lifecycle management, version control, and maintenance across multiple Windows editions
- Windows PE customisation and MECM task sequence design for deployment (bare-metal and upgrades), plus content distribution (Adaptiva, DFS)
- Troubleshooting, driver/firmware management, and user experience configuration, including log analysis and standardised OS environments
Windows Endpoint Engineer - Required Experience
- Extensive 3rd/4th line experience in enterprise endpoint engineering, with ownership of build and deployment processes and a global, business-aware mindset
- Deep expertise in MECM (packaging, OS deployment, task sequences, lifecycle management) with working knowledge of Intune and MDT (including hybrid/OneVinn frameworks)
- Strong experience designing and maintaining enterprise Windows builds, including OS readiness, offline patching, and alignment with security/compliance standards
- Familiarity with modern provisioning (Autopilot, co-management) and endpoint security hardening (BitLocker, baselines, compliance at provisioning)
- Proven troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills across the full deployment stack, working with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement
