Summary: The Windows Automation Engineer role at Persistent involves developing workflows for application requests, automating package installations, and ensuring security compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop workflows for application or package requests from users.
- Automate or provide scripts for users to download and install required packages onto VDIs.
- Monitor and maintain the currency of tools/packages, ensuring n+1 versions are available.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Vulnerability/Security, L2, and dependent CLS teams to define and operationalize processes.
- Create and maintain documentation to support processes and user guides for installation and troubleshooting.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in platform engineering and tool development.
- Implement security and CLS sourcing compliance measures for identified tools.
- Provide training and support to team members to mitigate resource dependency.
Key Skills:
- Experience with Windows PowerShell.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Workflow : Come up with a workflow from getting the request for a new application or package from users to sourcing the same, scanning for security vulnerability, making it available on Nexus
Automation : Automate or providing scripts for the users to download and install the required package onto the VDIs.
Monitoring and Maintenance : Monitor the currency of the tools/Packages to make the n+1 version available or decommission any obsolete tools.
Collaboration : Work closely with Infrastructure, Vulnerability/Security, L2 and dependent CLS teams to define and operationalize the process.
Documentation : Create and maintain documentation to support the process and user guides for installing or trouble shooting
Innovation : Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in platform engineering, tool development.
Security : Implement security and CLS sourcing compliance measures from the tools being identified up to making it available on Nexus
Training and Support : Provide training and support to team members to support this service and mitigate resource dependency
Technical Skills: Working with Windows PowerShell, Nexus and automation workflow tools, VDI, Application packing, Automation
