Summary: The Windows 11 Deployment Engineer will support the deployment of Windows 11 end-user devices for a financial services client over a 4-month contract. This role requires technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues while delivering exceptional customer service. The position is based onsite in London and operates within an inside IR35 framework. Candidates must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deployment of the desktop devices to the users' desks
- Where applicable and agreed on a country-by-country basis, the decommissioning and removal of all legacy equipment back to the business central location (to be made ready for collection by the Supplier's disposal / re-marketing provider)
- Nightly reporting, including the total number of devices, number of successful deployments and number of failures with reason why, as defined by the business
- Validating end user data via a desk-side visit as part of the agreed end user survey
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers requiring technical support for Windows 11 devices.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware, software, and configuration issues, escalating where necessary.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring users feel at ease and confident in the support provided.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and updates using the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with other teams to implement and improve support processes and knowledge base resources.
- Stay current with Windows 11 updates, best practices, and new features to deliver effective support.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in supporting Windows 11 in a service desk environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting end-user device issues, including hardware, drivers, networking, and software.
- Excellent customer communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving ability, with a methodical and patient approach to technical challenges.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and service desk tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality support.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Client, CompTIA A+).
- Experience with remote desktop tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell) to automate tasks.

Our client is looking to recruit a Windows 11 Deployment Engineer to join their Financial Services client on a 4 - month initial contract. This is a contract role that is Inside IR35. As a Windows 11 Deployment Engineer the successful candidates will provide expert support for Windows 11 end-user devices, delivering exceptional customer experiences while resolving technical issues efficiently. This role requires communication skills, technical expertise up to second/third-line support, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
