Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and assist tenants experiencing financial hardship to sustain their tenancy through debt, welfare benefits, and money advice.
- Provide welfare benefit, money, and debt advice through interviews, home visits, and telephone consultations.
- Offer pre-tenancy money advice to ensure incoming tenants can sustain their tenancy.
- Monitor tenant progress through effective communication and accurate record management.
- Advocate on behalf of tenants through written reports for reviews of benefit decisions.
- Signpost tenants to specialist legal advice when issues exceed the service remit.
Key Skills:
- Experience with money advice services in the social housing sector.
- Experience in providing debt advice, financial inclusion, and welfare benefits.
- Knowledge of legislation and regulations affecting Housing Benefit, Universal Credit, and other benefits.
- Full UK Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle.
