Summary: The role of Welder/Fabricator involves providing bespoke engineering solutions, including design, manufacture, and installation, with a focus on MIG and TIG welding. Candidates should have experience with mild steel and aluminium, and the ability to work from engineering drawings. This is a full-time temporary to permanent position based in Washington, Tyne and Wear. The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 07:45 to 16:30 and Friday from 07:45 to 13:00.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide bespoke engineering solutions from design to manufacture and installation.
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials.
  • Work with mild steel hollow section frameworks and material gauges between 1.5mm to 10mm.
  • TIG weld thin gauge aluminium (3mm-5mm).
  • Interpret engineering drawings and work with jigs.

Our client are currently recruiting for Metal Worker / Welder who specialise in providing bespoke engineering solutions, from design to manufacture and installation based in Washington. There are roles for both Time served and Semi-skilled metal workers who have experience of MIG and TIG welding.

Job Specifications

  • Experience working with mild steel hollow section frameworks and material gauges between 1.5mm to 10mm.
  • Experience of TIG welding thin gauge (3mm-5mm) aluminium
  • Have the ability to work from engineering drawings and jigs
