Summary: The Web Principle Engineer role in Bristol requires a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience to lead web development efforts. The position involves a hybrid working arrangement, with 2 to 3 days of on-site work per week, and focuses on maintaining high standards of code quality and usability. The engineer will be responsible for overseeing platform capabilities and ensuring effective use of cloud solutions. This role is contracted for 6 months and classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce material enabling teams to understand and use capability patterns and standards.
- Responsible for overall standards and health of code.
- Track MI on engineering quality, including star ratings, errors, performance, and crash reports.
- Own the platform capabilities available for feature teams.
- Own the CI/CD pipeline.
- Provide diagnostic accuracy and problem-solving for debugging websites.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in web development.
- Proficiency in Angular, React, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Experience with cloud solutions, specifically AWS and Azure.
- Familiarity with best practices for usability, conversion optimization, and accessibility.
- Strong problem-solving skills for debugging websites.
