An excellent opportunity for a senior events professional to join a prestigious global financial services organisation and take ownership of a high-profile EMEA events portfolio.
You’ll be delivering sophisticated client experiences across London and Europe, from intimate executive roundtables through to larger-scale events for 100–250 guests, working closely with senior stakeholders, VIP clients and leading event suppliers. It’s a genuinely hands-on role with significant visibility, international exposure and plenty of variety.
Senior Events Manager – 6-Month Contract
Location: London
Working pattern: 5 days in the office
Contract: 6-month maternity cover
Rate: £350 per day
Travel: European travel required
The Role:
- Own the planning and delivery of a portfolio of client events across EMEA.
- Develop event concepts, formats and experiences aligned to business objectives.
- Manage the full event lifecycle, including budgets, suppliers, contracts, logistics and compliance.
- Coordinate venues, vendors, AV, registration, speakers and VIP guests.
- Manage event communications, invitations, microsites and post-event follow-up.
- Produce event reports and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders.
- Support larger regional and global event programmes.
- Use your knowledge of European cities, venues and event trends to recommend compelling experiences.
- Work collaboratively with the wider events team to deliver consistently high standards.
Candidate Criteria:
- 5+ years' corporate events experience, with significant senior-level experience.
- Experience delivering high-end client events, ideally within private banking, financial services or luxury/consumer brands.
- Strong end-to-end event planning and execution experience.
- Excellent supplier and vendor management skills.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple events and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel regularly across Europe.
European language skills, particularly French, Spanish, Italian or German, would be advantageous.
