Summary: The role of VP - HR Legal Adviser is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position within an elite Private Equity fund's HR function. The successful candidate will serve as a key adviser to the HR team, facilitating communication between HR and the legal team. Ideal candidates will possess a legal background and experience in HR governance, with a start date anticipated by the end of January 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create/Update/Maintain all contractual paperwork templates across EMEA offices in partnership with recruiters, benefits, and legal.
- Draft jurisdiction-specific documents.
- Oversee onboarding paperwork for all hires, including interns, ensuring compliance with local laws.
- Oversee offboarding documentation, drafting as required.
- Create tailored offboarding procedures for each EMEA office.
- Work with legal and payroll to address working time reporting challenges in certain EMEA jurisdictions.
- Develop HR Standard Operating Procedures for new office openings as applicable.
- Lead headcount analysis strategic projects.
- Support Global Policies workstreams.
- Support EMEA Offer Letter Generation rollout.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 5 years experience within financial services or working in-house within private practice.
- Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and to prioritise tasks accordingly.

You will act as integral adviser to the HR team and operate as a bridge between HR and the wider legal team. The role will suit candidates with a legal background currently sitting in a HR governance position. The client are ideally looking for candidates who can start by the end of January 2026.
