Summary: The VMWare VCF Architect role requires a senior professional with over 10 years of infrastructure design experience and at least 3 years focused on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate existing vSphere, vSAN, NSX; perform gap analysis; capture requirements; deliver roadmap with TCO/ROI.
- Create HLD/LLD covering management/workload domains, NSX-T topology, security policies, automation (Aria Suite), backup, and compliance alignment.
- Deploy SDDC Manager, vCenter, NSX-T, vSAN; migrate workloads using HCX; automate provisioning via PowerCLI/Ansible/VLCM; validate with HA/DR testing and operational handover.
- Act as SME, collaborate with network/security/storage/DevOps teams, ensure VMware Validated Designs, document decisions and SOPs.
Key Skills:
- Deep hands-on VCF 4.x/5.x, vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T (VXLAN, BGP/OSPF), SDDC Manager, Aria Suite, HCX, and migration experience.
- Automation with Lifecycle Manager, PowerCLI, or Ansible.
