Summary: The VMware NFV Cloud Engineer role involves partnering with In-Life Operations to automate and enhance core infrastructure products within the telecommunications industry. The position requires collaboration with technical teams to drive impactful software engineering solutions while maintaining a focus on customer needs and business objectives. This is a 6-month contract position with potential for extension, based in Paddington. The role is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned to IaaS patterns, security, and networking principles.
• Reinforce design consistency and identify areas for improvement, developing solutions that evolve with business direction.
• Collaborate with automation and build teams to create an automated BAU change catalogue.
• Build and maintain documentation for repeatable design usage.
• Schedule automated changes in alignment with company objectives and customer requirements.
• Work with product managers and engineering teams to create cohesive strategies and roadmaps.
• Foster a customer-focused, data-driven, and experimentation-based environment.
• Engage with internal Telco Cloud partners and evolve automated Cloud management practices.

Key Skills:

• VMware - VIO, vSphere 7, vSAN, NSX-T, Tanzu TKG-M, and vROPS.
• Experience with Ericsson SDI, CCI, CCE, and CCD.
• Familiarity with Nokia CloudBand and Mavenir NFVi.
• Understanding of security and networking requirements.
• Knowledge of marketplace Cloud technologies.
• Demonstrable experience in service design, techniques, and methodologies.
• Experience in technology and telecoms.
