Summary: Our client seeks a VMware Horizon Specialist to assess and upgrade their VMware Horizon environment to the latest version, Omnissa Horizon. The role includes planning and executing upgrades, optimizing components, and implementing security hardening. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence in Ipswich three times a week. This contract is initially for 5 months and classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and upgrade the existing VMware Horizon environment to Omnissa Horizon.
- Plan and execute upgrades of VMware ESXi and vCenter components.
- Optimize the environment and implement CIS Level 2 hardening.
- Update VDI clients to Windows 11 with the latest Microsoft Office suite.

Our client is looking for a VMware Horizon Specialist to help us assess and upgrade our existing VMware Horizon environment to the latest version, Omnissa Horizon.
The role involves planning and executing the upgrade of VMware ESXi and vCenter components as necessary, optimisation, DEM, updating VDI clients to Windows 11 with the latest Microsoft Office suite, and implementing CIS Level 2 hardening across the environment.
The role is hybrid, looking for a candidate to be able to go to the client site in Ipswich three times a week and the rest based remotely. This role has been deemed as Inside IR35 and will be on a 5 month initial contract with potential for extensions.
