Summary: The role of VMWare Engineer focuses on automating and building products for core infrastructure within the telecommunications industry. The engineer will collaborate with In-Life Operations and product engineering teams to enhance software engineering practices and ensure compliance with security standards. This position requires a strong technical background in VMware, networking, and cloud technologies, particularly RedHat. The role is contract-based for six months with potential for extension, emphasizing a product-focused approach in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned with IaaS patterns and security principles.
- Reinforce design consistency and identify areas for improvement, developing solutions that evolve with business direction.
- Collaborate with automation teams to create an automated BAU change catalogue and ensure scalability.
- Build and maintain documentation for repeatable design usage.
- Schedule automated changes in alignment with company objectives and customer requirements.
- Work with product managers and engineering teams to create cohesive strategies and roadmaps.
- Foster a customer-focused and data-driven environment.
- Engage with internal partners in Telco Cloud and help evolve automated Cloud management practices.
