Key Responsibilities:
- Build and configure ESX devices as per the provided build guides.
- Work collaboratively within the deployment team and maintain positive relationships with other project teams.
- Visit customer sites to install hardware within racks.
- Provide remote support of hardware during customer testing.
- Regularly update the Project Manager and team lead on progress.
- Engage with service teams to ensure that new hardware is effectively taken into support.
- Be flexible with working hours as some implementations may occur outside of normal working hours due to customer activities.
Key Skills:
- Proven track record as an infrastructure engineer in a project environment, building solutions from build guides.
- Broad technical skills across an enterprise environment, with demonstrated skills in infrastructure management, VMWare/VSphere support, and implementation.
- Ability to work well within a team and develop positive working relationships.
- Excellent communication skills for interactions with peers, management, and customers.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience working with large government customers.
- Self-starter who can implement solutions with minimal supervision and effectively troubleshoot issues.
