Summary: We are seeking a VMware VRA/VRO Consultant/Architect for a contract role with a leading independent VMware specialist in the UK. The position involves enhancing and operating the cloud management and automation platform, requiring extensive experience in automation solutions based on vSphere, vRA, and vRO. Candidates with knowledge of Google Cloud and Terraform will be preferred. The role demands a proactive team player capable of resolving complex issues in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance the existing cloud management and automation platform.
• Operate the platform on a day-to-day basis, including resolving issues and problems.
• Provide third-level support for cloud connectivity and CMDB.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to implement automation solutions.

Key Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of VRO (8x).
• Good/Excellent knowledge of VRA 8.
• Good/Excellent scripting skills (Shell, vRO, vCLI, PowerCLI, Unix/bash).
• Good/Excellent knowledge of Terraform.
• Broad knowledge of virtualization technologies.
• Good OS level knowledge in UNIX (RHEL 7/8) for problem analysis and tuning.
• Good understanding of the vSphere API.
• Strong team player with high proactivity and flexibility.
