Summary: The Visiting Neuro Rehabilitation Consultant at Priory Adultcare will lead a multidisciplinary team in providing integrated support and treatment for service users with complex neurological needs. This role involves overseeing patient care, collaborating with various healthcare professionals, and engaging in quality improvement initiatives. The position requires on-site consultant cover for one day per week at the Priory Highbank Centre and quarterly sessions at the Priory Elton Unit. The consultant will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of care and professional development within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the care of service users within your specialty
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, and psychologists
- Engage with primary care and other specialties, such as long-term ventilation teams
- Participate in quality improvement and governance activities
- Network with professional colleagues and referral sources
- Maintain professional development and meet Revalidation requirements
Key Skills:
- GMC registration with relevant specialist registration
- Experience in Neuro-rehabilitation, particularly with complex respiratory needs
- Strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory frameworks
- Successful completion of a DBS check
