Summary: We are seeking a seasoned VisionPLUS Developer for a contract position in Sheffield, focusing on the transformation and continuous improvement of credit card systems. The role involves collaboration with various internal and external teams to enhance technology platforms. Candidates should possess extensive experience in VisionPLUS technologies and mainframe systems, along with strong communication skills. Rights to work in the UK are required, as no sponsorship is available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work extensively on VisionPLUS online architecture, especially with CICS components — including coding and debugging.
  • Demonstrate deep familiarity with the Credit Card System; knowledge of WINGSFM/VMX is a plus.
  • Contribute to and maintain the CMS module and its components.
  • Manage production support activities and participate across all phases of the SDLC.
  • Independently develop functional and technical design documents, and produce high- and low-level design solutions.
  • Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve performance and stability of banking systems.

Key Skills:

  • 5–10 years of solid experience in software development, preferably in the financial services domain.
  • Strong background in VisionPLUS technologies, especially in modules such as CMS, FAS, VMx, TRAMS, IAS.
  • Hands-on experience with mainframe technologies including COBOL, CICS, JCL, IAM, VSAM, EZT, and File-Aid/Manager.
  • Proven ability to manage technical teams, stakeholders, governance, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines in a global team environment.
  • Consulting background is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written).

Role – We are seeking a seasoned VisionPLUS Developer to join our client’s team. This position plays a key role in the transformation and continuous improvement of our credit card systems. You will work closely with internal engineering, DevOps, legal, risk, and cybersecurity teams, as well as external vendors, to drive enhancements across our technology platforms.

Key skills: 5–10 years of solid experience in software development, preferably in the financial services domain. Strong background in VisionPLUS technologies, especially in modules such as CMS, FAS, VMx, TRAMS, IAS.
