Summary: The Infrastructure Engineer role focuses on leveraging strong expertise in Virtualisation technology and Infrastructure Engineering. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, designing, and developing solutions for virtualised infrastructure, ensuring optimal resource usage and application safety during VM migrations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to deliver new infrastructure features and support customer inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide troubleshooting and solutions for Virtualised infrastructure incident cases.
- Design and develop solutions that optimise the use of Virtualised infrastructure resources.
- Create solutions that facilitate multiple teams testing on the same Virtualised infrastructure.
- Understand and configure settings for VM migration scenarios to ensure application safety.
- Design and develop solutions for VM migration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the delivery of new infrastructure and features.
- Provide support for customer enquiries.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in supporting VMware environments and technologies including vSphere, vCenter, vROPS, NSX, and SAN.
- Strong experience with development and automation tools (eg, vRealize Automation, Ansible, git, GitLab) for deployment and orchestration.
- Experience with programming languages (eg, Shell Script, PowerShell, Python).
- Experience with Operating Systems (eg, Linux Servers and Windows Servers).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with cloud technologies and hybrid cloud environments.
