Summary: The Vice President of Internal Audit will lead and execute audits within the AWM Consumer business, ensuring compliance with various regulations including the Irish Consumer Protection Code and GDPR. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute audits across the AWM Consumer business.
- Assess compliance with regulations such as the Irish Consumer Protection Code, PSD2, Deposit Guarantee Scheme, and GDPR.
- Engage with business unit stakeholders to understand processes and evaluate risks and controls.
- Prepare detailed audit reports for senior management and regulators.
Key Skills:
- Strong level of internal audit experience within global financial institutions or a large consulting firm.
- Strong knowledge of Irish and EU banking regulations, particularly the Irish Consumer Protection Code.
- Experience working in or with Irish banks.
- Background in risk identification, assessment, and evaluation of controls.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex audit issues clearly.
- Chartered Accountant qualifications (ACCA, ACA) are a plus.
- Experience with global regulatory environments and governance best practices.
