Looking for more surgery and the chance to truly develop your skillset?Medivet Newcastle-under-Lyme is recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in surgery to join our friendly, well-established practice. This role is ideal for someone keen to develop their surgical skillset and an interest in orthopaedics would be a bonus. You’ll work alongside our Branch Partner, Paul, who has a strong medical bias—so a surgically minded vet would perfectly complement the clinical offering within the practice.You’ll be joining a close-knit, supportive team of Partner Paul, a Head Veterinary Nurse, Registered Veterinary Nurse, Veterinary Care Assistant, and two Client Care Assistants, all dedicated to delivering high-quality, personal care to our loyal client base. The practice is well-equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab facilities, and a dedicated prep and theatre space.This role includes one day of sole charge per week, so we’re looking for someone confident in their clinical decision-making who enjoys a balance of autonomy and team support. We also offer excellent opportunities for progression, including access to our clinical communities and support for further development, with funding available for certificates.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, with a future weekend rota of 1 in 3 Saturdays (09:00 – 14:00). Your career matters to us, and we’re committed to supporting your growth in a role aligned with your clinical interests.
