Located in Cardiff, Wales, the RCVS-accredited hospital offers an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive, progressive, and collaborative environment. Working Hours / Rota The role is full-time (part-time considered) with a 4-day week, typically working 8:45am to 6:45pm (occasionally 8:00am to 6:00pm). The contract is for 36 hours per week. There are no on-call responsibilities or weekend work, thanks to the hospital’s dedicated night service. Role Description This role involves a balance of hospital duties, including inpatient care and surgical responsibilities, alongside some emergency consultations. While full consultation days are not required, occasional support for the first opinion team may be needed. Confidence in performing procedures such as splenectomies, amputations, and laparoscopic spays is desirable, as is experience with complex medical case management. The position also presents opportunities to mentor colleagues and contribute to their professional development within a team-oriented setting.
