Summary: The Vendor Manager role at a leading telecommunications provider involves managing a portfolio of vendors to ensure services are effective and cost-efficient. The position requires driving continuous service improvement and serving as the primary contact for vendor-related issues. Candidates should have experience in commercial vendor management, particularly within the telecoms or cable industry. This is a 26-week contract with the potential for extension, offering remote work with occasional office visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage a portfolio of vendors in line with ITIL best practices.
- Develop SMART KPIs to measure vendor performance and ensure value for money.
- Chair regular vendor review meetings to report and review performance.
- Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding vendor issues.
- Build relationships with internal groups to ensure vendor agreements are communicated and understood.
- Work within the vendor management team to build a vendor plan targeting all aspects of services provided by vendors.
- Ensure necessary purchase orders for vendors are in place for payment of services.
Key Skills:
- Experience in Commercial Vendor Management.
- Experience in managing various vendors delivering mixed services.
- Strong PC skills and proven ability to communicate effectively.
- Commercial acumen and experience in a customer-focused environment.
- Experience in Telecoms, Cable, or similar industry is desired.
