Summary: The Vehicle Operations Specialist role involves performing quality checks on vehicles, managing logistics, and ensuring the readiness of vehicles for delivery. The position requires hands-on tasks such as cleaning, inspections, and utilizing computer systems for documentation. This is a 3-month contract based in Miami, Florida, with a focus on operational efficiency in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality checks by washing vehicle exteriors and cleaning/preparing interiors.
- Shuttle vehicles between locations, including customer drop-offs and fleet movements.
- Support pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), including cosmetic assessments, test drives, and use of compressed air tools and torque wrenches.
- Conduct quality control for delivery-ready vehicles and report defects to the service department.
- Maintain the delivery readiness and organization of vehicle inventory lots, ensuring safe and navigable drive lanes.
- Prepare and inspect customer trade-ins for auction transport.
- Utilize computer systems and software (e.g., Microsoft Office and internal platforms) to manage tasks and documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Key Skills:
- 1+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or lot management; automotive, EV, or detailing experience preferred.
- Experience writing work orders in a service environment is a plus.
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license in your state of residence or commuting state.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Clean driving record with no drug/alcohol-related incidents in the last 3 years.
- No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years.
- No license suspensions or revocations in the past 3–5 years.
- Subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring.
