Summary: The Vehicle Architecture Development Engineer role involves establishing and delivering the fundamental layout of vehicles, including dimensions, mass balance, and mechanical arrangements. This position requires collaboration with senior management and the ability to resolve complex engineering problems. The role is primarily office-based with a hybrid working arrangement. The contract is for 12 months and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and deliver vehicle layout including dimensions, mass balance, and occupant positions.
- Collaborate with the engineering team throughout the program lifecycle.
- Interface with senior management and present solutions clearly.
- Resolve complex, multi-dimensional engineering problems.
Key Skills:
- Excellent project and people management skills.
- Strong written and oral presentation skills.
- Ability to resolve complex problems and present solutions.
- Knowledge of FEDE, PLM, CAE, CAD, Auros - E2KS, and Digital Buck tools.
- Experience in delivering vehicle programs.
- Degree in Engineering discipline.

Description:
Vehicle Architecture development Engineer VA engineers are responsible for establishing and delivering the fundamental layout of vehicles including the dimensions; mass balance; occupant positions and accommodation and the mechanical arrangement with geometrical compatibility. VA are the first engineering team involved in the programme and involvement continues to Job#1 and beyond.
Skills Required:
- Excellent project and people management skills, with tenacity in resolving issues
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills; ability to interface with senior management
- Ability to resolve complex, multi-dimensional problems and present solutions with clarity
Skills Preferred:
- Knowledge of FEDE, PLM, CAE, CAD, Auros - E2KS and Digital Buck tools ¿ CATIA abilities
Experience Required:
- Delivery of vehicle programs
Experience Preferred:
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle variants / configurations preferred
Education Required:
- Degree in Engineering discipline
