Summary: The role involves providing 2nd line support for Excel and VBA applications within a UK Government Organisation for a fixed-term contract of 23 months. The position focuses on maintaining and enhancing Excel-based tools, supporting Power BI dashboards, and collaborating with end users to improve data accessibility and insights. This role is hybrid, requiring three days in the office near Tower Hill, London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd line support for incidents and problem resolution to minimize business disruption.
- Maintain, enhance, and support Excel-based tools (including VBA macros) for data analysis and reporting.
- Support and develop Power BI dashboards to improve data accessibility and insights.
- Contribute to projects and system change initiatives to continuously improve services and tools.
- Support financial trading systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate directly with end users, providing responsive and effective support.
- Help improve data and insight delivery across the organisation.
Key Skills:
- Strong recent experience in Microsoft Excel VBA and 2nd line application support.
- SQL Experience.
- Technical knowledge of at least one of the following: Market data apps (Bloomberg, Reuters), Basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell), Application monitoring tools.
- Proven background in 1st and 2nd line support.
