Summary: The VBA Developer role involves developing professional solutions for business problems within the EUI End User Computing team. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, designing IT applications, and supporting existing applications while ensuring continuous improvement in the end-user environment. The position requires strong Excel and VBA skills, with a focus on stakeholder communication and problem-solving. The role is based in London and classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop professional solutions to everyday business problems as part of the EUI End User Computing (EUC) team.
- Analyze requirements, design and document new IT applications, maintain and support existing applications.
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of end-user applications, security environment, support, infrastructure, tooling & documentation.
- Offer practical help to both technical and non-technical (internal) clients.
- Understand and provide feedback on risks and control the environment.
- Strong ability to elicit requirements from End Users.
- Ability to plan work, including planning how to approach the work, dividing it into smaller units, accurately estimating effort, and estimating total elapsed time to deliver the work.
- Ability to report clearly on work delivered, benefits realized, and challenges encountered.
- An understanding of the risks of End User applications and how to control them.
Key Skills:
- Strong Excel and Strong VBA skills, particularly in the Excel object model and VBA programming.
- Experience building, supporting, and maintaining End User applications (Tactical tools).
- Around 5 - 7+ years of experience.
- Primary Skill Set: Excel Object Model, VBA Programming.
- Secondary Skill Set: Business Analyst, Stakeholder Communication, Problem Solving.
