Summary: The Validation Engineer role involves working with a leading UK automotive OEM on a confidential program, focusing on the validation and fault diagnosis of ICE/MHEV propulsion systems. The engineer will support technical activities during vehicle build phases and contribute to system validation efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Support resolution of propulsion system issues
- Provide MHEV technical support during Vehicle Build / PIL phases
- Perform vehicle and system-level fault diagnosis
- Create DVPs, test cases, procedures, and requirements
- Support system definition and validation activities
Key Skills:
- Strong engineering knowledge of ICE & MHEV propulsion systems
- Understanding of Hybrid & Electric Vehicle architectures
- Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering & battery systems
- Experience in Powertrain system issue management
- Hands-on experience in vehicle testing, rig environments, and engineering facilities
- Proficiency with INCA, CANalyzer, Corvus, MATLAB, PicoScope, MDA
- Structured problem-solving experience (Six Sigma or similar)
- Systems Engineering approach
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and JIRA
