Description
Marketing Manager – V&A East (18-month FTC) Location: East London (Hybrid) Salary: £45k + Help launch the future of one of the world's most ambitious cultural destinations.
Most marketing roles ask you to promote an established brand. This one asks you to help build one.
Our client - V&A East, is one of the UK's most significant museum launches, bringing together exhibitions, learning, creativity and community in a completely new way.
We're helping the V&A team find a commercially minded marketer to lead marketing for V&A East and V&A Storehouse, helping establish these extraordinary venues as cultural destinations for London, the UK and beyond.
The opportunity
This isn't simply about delivering campaigns. It's about shaping how a new museum builds an audience.
You'll own marketing strategy and delivery across exhibitions, events, learning programmes and the wider public programme, working with colleagues across Audience Insight, Customer Growth, CRM, Communications, Learning and Commercial.
You'll be responsible for growing visitor numbers, driving ticket sales, increasing participation from diverse audiences and ensuring V&A East becomes one of London's most exciting cultural destinations.
What success looks like
Your role is to simplify complexity, create clarity and ensure marketing owns outcomes rather than simply campaigns.
You'll create marketing that is audience-led, commercially effective, creatively ambitious, culturally relevant, insight driven and measurable.
You'll manage a Venue Marketing Executive while influencing teams across the wider organisation.
Who we're looking for
You may currently work in live entertainment, visitor attractions, cultural venues, sport, hospitality, retail or another customer-facing environment.
You've managed high-profile campaigns, worked with agencies, developed partnerships and understand how to balance commercial objectives with audience development.
Most importantly, you're excited by building something.
You enjoy creating structure, you use insight rather than assumption, you care about measurable impact and you thrive in collaborative environments where no two days are the same.
Why this role matters
Very few marketers get the opportunity to help shape a cultural destination from the beginning. This is one of those opportunities.
