Summary: The UX/UI Lead (GenAI) role involves leading the design of user-centered digital banking products for a global financial services organization. The position requires expertise in user research, prototyping, and visual design, with a focus on creating intuitive interfaces. The role is hybrid based in Glasgow and is a contract position running until June 2026. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet user needs and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to capture customer needs, pain points, and feedback.
  • Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for digital banking applications.
  • Develop wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualise and test product concepts.
  • Apply visual design principles, ensuring consistency with brand identity and accessibility guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with design best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a UX/UI or Product Designer, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
  • Strong background in user research, prototyping, and interaction design.
  • Expertise in visual design, including typography, colour theory, and responsive design.
  • Experience conducting usability testing and applying insights to design improvements.

Salary (Rate): £450 daily

We have an exciting opportunity available with a global financial services organisation. They are currently looking for a skilled UX/UI Lead to join their team and help shape the next generation of digital banking products.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

You will be responsible for creating intuitive, user-centred, and visually appealing digital product designs that align with user needs, business goals, and accessibility standards.

  1. Conduct user research and usability testing to capture customer needs, pain points, and feedback.

  2. Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for digital banking applications.

  3. Develop wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualise and test product concepts.

  4. Apply visual design principles, ensuring consistency with brand identity and accessibility guidelines.

  5. Collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams, developers, and stakeholders.

  6. Stay updated with design best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  1. Proven experience as a UX/UI or Product Designer, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant work.

  2. Strong background in user research, prototyping, and interaction design.

  4. Experience conducting usability testing and applying insights to design improvements.

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

  1. Degree in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Digital Media, or a related field.

  2. Experience working in highly regulated industries, ideally financial services.

  3. Familiarity with Agile environments and collaboration tools.

  4. Knowledge of HTML/CSS, Front End development concepts, and ethical design practices.
