Summary: The UX/UI Designer will be responsible for enhancing the user experience of a customer-facing web portal and mobile application for a London-based client on a 6-month contract. The designer will work onsite three days a week, focusing on end-to-end design processes from discovery to delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end user experiences for customer-facing web portals and mobile applications.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic reviews to inform design decisions.
- Translate business requirements and user needs into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs.
- Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and reusable UI components.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure high-standard implementation of designs.
- Iterate designs based on user feedback, data, and product insights.
- Ensure all designs meet accessibility, usability, and responsive design best practices.
- Communicate design rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- 3+ years' experience as a UX/UI Designer working on web-based products.
- Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and visual design.
- Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrable experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Our London-based client is looking for a UX/UI Designer to join them on an initial 6-month contract. The UX/UI designer will play a key role in shaping the user experience of the client's customer-facing web portal and mobile application. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer who enjoys solving complex problems, working closely with cross-functional teams, and delivering intuitive, accessible digital experiences that real users rely on. The UX/UI Designer will take ownership of end-to-end design across web and mobile platforms. They will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and key stakeholders to translate requirements into elegant, user-centred solutions from early discovery through to delivery. The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite in the London office three days per week, collaborating closely with the wider product and engineering teams.
Skills & Responsibilities
- Demonstrable experience of Designing end-to-end user experiences for customer-facing web portals and mobile applications, from discovery and wireframing through to high-fidelity UI and developer handover
- Experience of conducting user research, usability testing, and heuristic reviews to inform design decisions
- Experience of translating business requirements and user needs into clear user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs
- Experience of creating and maintaining design systems, style guides, and reusable UI components
- Experience of working closely with product and engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented to a high standard
- Experience of delivering Iterate designs based on user feedback, data, and product insights
