Summary: The UX Researcher Internship at MathWorks offers a hybrid work model, allowing interns to balance time between the office and home. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research and analyze user workflows to inform product strategy and direction.
- Execute qualitative and quantitative research methods such as user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and card sorting.
- Advocate for technical users by identifying user pains and providing research-based recommendations for design decisions.
- Assist the Development team in interpreting user feedback and contribute to requirements and design documents.
- Research and showcase knowledge in current industry trends and technologies.
Key Skills:
- Pursuing a master's or PhD level degree in a technical discipline.
- STEM Degree (e.g., Information Design, Data Modeling, Computer Graphics, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, CAD Design, Architecture, Statistics, Cognitive Sciences, Psychology, Human Computer Interaction).
- Knowledge of user-centered design, UX research methods, human-computer interaction research (HCI), or experimental design.
- Experience with research and collaboration tools (e.g., UserZoom, Optimal Workshop, Miro).
- Programming experience in any programming language (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python, C++, Java, JS) is a plus.
