UX Designer Location: London – Hybrid (flexible onsite) Contract: 6 Months (potential extension) IR35: Inside IR35 - Competitive (DOE) We are seeking an experienced UX Designer with a strong background in Banking/Financial Services and AI-powered digital products to join a leading consultancy delivering innovative solutions within the investment banking sector. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll design intuitive, user-centred experiences that leverage AI to improve investor intelligence, due diligence, and loan origination processes. You'll play a key role in shaping enterprise applications that enhance productivity, streamline complex workflows, and support better decision-making across the deal lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities as a UX Designer

• Design end-to-end user journeys for AI-powered enterprise applications.
• Create intuitive experiences for AI-generated insights, investor intelligence, and due diligence workflows.
• Design workflow orchestration and visibility across complex loan origination processes.
• Develop persona-based experiences for Banking, KYC, Risk, Legal, Credit, and Operations teams.
• Produce wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to validate concepts and improve usability.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver user-centred solutions.
• Design AI-assisted interactions including document generation, recommendations, search, analytics, and workflow progression.

Experience You'll Need as a UX Designer

• Strong commercial UX design experience within Banking or Financial Services.
• Experience designing AI-powered or AI-assisted digital products.
• Expertise in end-to-end UX design including journey mapping, workflow design, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Experience designing complex enterprise applications and multi-persona user experiences.
• Ability to simplify complex operational workflows into intuitive digital experiences.
• Experience working within regulated environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Desirable Experience

• Investment banking or capital markets experience.
• Experience designing workflow platforms for lending, credit, or financial operations.
• Familiarity with AI-generated content, conversational interfaces, or intelligent search experiences.
• Consultancy experience delivering digital transformation programmes.
