Summary: The role of a User Experience (UX) Designer involves applying a user-centered design methodology throughout the project lifecycle to create seamless user experiences. The designer will collaborate with various stakeholders, including developers and business analysts, to integrate business requirements and user needs effectively. This position is a fixed-term contract until 31st May 2026. The designer will utilize prototyping and wireframing skills while adhering to usability best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver suitable design solutions that meet user and business needs while reflecting known constraints.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, business analysts, and QA to efficiently arrive at solutions.
- Gather insights related to competitors and communicate key insights and opportunities to the team and stakeholders.
- Iterate designs based on user research and needs, utilizing prototyping tools and conducting usability testing.
- Plan and facilitate collaborative workshops with stakeholders and customers to drive the project forward.
- Plan and create intuitive user flows and information architecture for software navigation.
- Produce high-quality deliverables that communicate rationale clearly and compellingly.
- Create prototypes at appropriate fidelity for their intended purpose.
- Create and maintain design systems/libraries for consistency across platforms.
- Provide recommendations for iterations or improvements based on user research.
- Support user research activities and collaborate using tools like Miro in an agile team environment.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a UX Designer with knowledge of design techniques and tools (e.g., Figma, Axure, Sketch, XD).
- Strong understanding of design thinking, UCD principles, and best practices.
- Familiarity with GDS principles and ability to design for user needs.
- Good knowledge of accessibility standards and implementation techniques.
- Practical experience applying IxD principles, wireframing, and design.
- Motivated and able to work independently and in teams.
- Strong communication skills to explain ideas and rationale to team members and stakeholders.
- Experience designing for desktop and software solutions.

You’ll integrate the client’s business requirements, customer/end-user needs, and technical capabilities to create a seamless user experience. With expertise in prototyping and wireframing, you will effectively incorporate usability best practices and techniques while collaborating with the project team, including developers, user researchers, and business analysts. Please note that this is a fixed term contract until 31st May 2026
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver the most suitable design solutions which meet user needs, business needs and reflect known constraints.
- Collaborate with other designers, developers, business analysts and QA to arrive at the most suitable solution efficiently.
- Gather insights and data related to competitors and understand technical constraints and communicate key insights, and opportunities to your team and stakeholders.
- Iterate designs based on user research and user needs - uses prototyping tool and have experience of usability testing.
- Plan and facilitate collaborative stakeholder and/or customer workshops that support and drive the project forward.
- Plan and create user flows and information architecture (IA) that is intuitive for users to find their way around our software.
- Produce high quality deliverables that clearly communicate rationale in an easy to understand, compelling manner.
- Create prototypes at the most appropriate fidelity for their purpose.
- Create and maintain design systems / libraries to deliver consistency across platform
- Provide recommendations for iterations or improvements based on user research.

- Have experience using Miro as a collaborative tool and have experience working in an agile team.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a UX Designer incl. working knowledge with design techniques and tools i.e. Figma, Axure, Sketch or XD and design systems
- Very good understanding of design thinking, UCD guiding principles and best practice.
- Familiarity of GDS principles
- Able to design for user needs.
- Good practical knowledge of accessibility standards, implementation techniques and testing.
