Summary: The UX Designer role in Manchester involves supporting the UX Design team to enhance the digital user experience across various channels. The position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions that align user needs with business objectives. The designer will be responsible for prototyping, sketching ideas, and maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Work across the entire lifecycle of a product, translating insights from research and analytics into concepts and solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to drive vision and strategy for products.
- Champion user needs and ensure they inform design solutions.
- Rapidly sketch and prototype ideas, designing detailed interactions or components.
- Maintain knowledge of and adherence to relevant regulatory requirements.
Key Skills:
- Experience designing consumer-focused digital projects.
- Familiarity with design philosophies such as Lean UX, Design Sprint, and design thinking.
- Strong communication skills for facilitating workshops and brainstorming sessions.
- Ability to create interactive prototypes using Figma or HTML and CSS.
- Knowledge of interface and interaction design, prototyping, wireframing, and navigation architecture.
- Proficiency in design software such as Figma.
- Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
- A current portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of online design.
- BA in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Attention to detail and a passion for design, research, and usability.
- Experience working in an agile environment.

Role Description:
Working within the UX Design team, the role is to support the continuous improvement of the digital user experience across the multiple digital channels. Help to define the interactivity and design on a variety of products, proposing solutions that balance user needs with business goals and technical capabilities. Driven by finding out how and why customers use our products, and be passionate about communicating these needs, proposing solutions to problems that excite and enthuse our customers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: (Focus on the targets and outcomes aligning to the bank scorecard where applicable and ensuring a risk accountability is included in all roles)
* Work across the entire lifecycle of a product, translating insights from research and analytics into concepts and solutions.
* Working within a multidisciplinary team; partner with product owners, developers and business stakeholders to come up with solutions, driving vision and strategy for our products.
Collaborate across the UX and content community to create and improve the bank's design system and practices.
* Our users lead the way and their needs inform our solutions. You'll put the user at the centre of everything we do at the bank and champion their interests.
* Rapidly sketch and prototype ideas as well as designing the finer details of an interaction or component.
* Maintain knowledge of and adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES: (Detail qualifications needed for the role)
* Experience designing consumer focused digital projects.
* Familiar with current design philosophies; Lean UX, Design Sprint, design thinking etc.
* A strong communicator to help facilitate workshops and brainstorm initial design concepts.
* Ability to create interactive prototypes using Figma or in the browser with HTML and CSS.
